In order to guarantee the maximum lightness and minimum volume of a QUILT sleeping bag, we have used goose down with a feather filling power of 850 CUIN ( FILL POWER ) instead of 650/750 for the cheaper, but bulkier and heavier down duvets.

The fabrics have also been selected from among the best manufacturers who are able to make them very thin and at the same time resistant. The weight is 26 g/m2 and is made of 100% polyamide with PFC-free water-repellent DWR treatment.

We have chosen the QUILT version of the sleeping bag and not the classic mummy sleeping bag because we consider it more comfortable and it will feel like sleeping under your duvet at home, you will have more freedom of movement of your shoulders, legs and feet.

For side sleepers it is the ideal solution to have your back ALWAYS warm evenly, which is not the case with mummy sleeping bags that have a lower down filling on the back and you will have a back age with fewer feathers.

It is a spring-summer-autumn product and you can choose between these levels of T COMFORT and T LIMITE according to the amount of feathers used:

COMFORT/LIMITE – gr PIUME from 850 FILL POWER: 12/8 150 gr – 10/6 200 gr – 8/4 250 gr

A good QUILT will guarantee its thermal performance if it is combined with a suitable mattress pad that has a high insulation index (QR) and is not too tight; we recommend the NEO-AIR-XLITE NXT model from THERMAREST, made in Ireland.

A weakness of the QUILTs on the market are the systems for attaching it to the mattress, which do not always guarantee a good seal between mattress and sleeping bag, creating gaps/splits when you turn your back to change position.

NBP has designed and created an innovative system consisting of elastic straps with ends and rings that allow the quilt to be attached to the mattress, solving the problem of “drafts” in the best possible way; the practicality of connecting mattress/quilt is also interesting because it always stays in place without having to connect and adjust additional elements.

You can also use this QUIT as a duvet for the 190*80 cm single or double bed if you are a couple; this option will allow you to make the most of this product and return more quickly from the investment of a high-quality, multi-purpose sleeping bag while also doing an environmentally responsible act.

If you own two of our quilts you can join them either HORIZONTALLY in the “double” version or OVERLAP them to use them in harsher climates, bringing the T COMFORT to 5° T LIMIT 1°.

For all those who like to reduce weight and volume we have also provided the PONCHO version which allows you to leave the down jacket at home, saving you space and weight.

To guarantee a HOMOGENEOUS DISTRIBUTION of the feathers and therefore maintain the initial insulation and comfort over time, a casing construction with half-height bartacks was chosen; this prevents the feathers from moving to one side only, creating voids and heat loss; this choice significantly affects packaging times and costs, but if you want products with high performance these choices must be made.
